Both Kaila and Mark were long time veterans of the Dallas music scene, and had met many years earlier while performing in the Dallas based band Triprocket.  After playing in several projects separately, the two decided to start collaborating on new music in 2012.  Upon writing several songs, they decided to put a name to the project and in 2014 Shake Your Neighbor was born.

The band has focused since then mainly on writing and recording, releasing the first Ep “Emotion Sickness” in October of 2016.  With several other songs written and ready for release, the band is now focused on performing live.  Check the “shows” link to find out when and where you can catch them next.
