Russ Hewitt “El Beso” (Saulito) from the album ‘Bajo el Sol’

“El Beso” was named as one of the top100 songs for 2009 by Smooth Jazz Now.

The all-star backing band features percussionist Raphael Padilla (Miami Sound Machine, Chris Isaak), drummer Walfredo Reyes Jr. (Santana, Steve Winwood, Chicago), bass player Bob Parr (Cher, Barry White) and guitarist Alfredo Caceres (Gipsy Kings All-Stars.)

The recording was mastered by Chris Bellman who has worked with Van Halen, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Elton John. “El Beso” was on the album ‘Bajo el Sol’ which made the ballot in five categories for the 52nd Grammy Awards and enjoyed ten-week stay at #1 on Music Choice.
